The Point of Sale (POS) screen in the Aurest system is the cashier’s main tool for efficiently managing daily orders. This screen allows for item selection, invoice review, processing all types of payments, and printing both orders and receipts smoothly and professionally.
✅ First: Adding Items to the Order
After selecting the order type (Dine-in, Delivery, Takeaway, etc.), you can start adding items to the invoice:
1️⃣ Item Groups:
At the bottom of the POS screen, item groups are displayed based on category (e.g., Main Dishes, Beverages, Desserts...).
2️⃣ Viewing Items:
When selecting a group, the related items appear in the middle section of the screen (with images and prices).
3️⃣ Adding an Item:
Click on the desired item ➤ it will automatically be added to the invoice on the right.
4️⃣ Adjusting Quantity or Deleting:
You can change the quantity or delete any item before printing the invoice or processing the payment.
✅ Second: Reviewing the Invoice Details
On the right side of the screen, the invoice details are displayed in an organized way, including:
Item number (order).
Item name.
Quantity.
Unit price.
Total price per item.
▼ Below the item list, a summary of the invoice appears:
Total before discount.
Discount amount (if applicable).
Selective tax.
VAT.
Final amount due.
➡ To navigate between open invoices, use the left/right arrows below the invoice summary.
✅ Third: Main Control Buttons at the Bottom
The POS interface includes four main control buttons:
1️⃣ ➕ Button
➤ To create a new order and start a new invoice.
2️⃣ Printer Icon
➤ To print the order directly (sent to the kitchen or preparation area).
3️⃣ Invoice Icon
➤ To print the final invoice for the customer.
4️⃣ ❌ Button
➤ To open the payment window and close the order after verifying all details.
✅ Fourth: Payment Screen
When clicking the "❌" button, the payment screen appears, where you can complete the transaction:
1️⃣ View Total Amount Due:
Shows the final total after taxes and discounts.
2️⃣ Select Payment Method:
◾ Cash
◾ Card
◾ Or use split payment with multiple methods.
3️⃣ Split Payment:
You can enter more than one payment method in the same transaction (e.g., 100 in cash + 103 by card).
4️⃣ Complete Payment:
Click on "Pay" ➤ the invoice will close automatically, and the order status is updated.
