The "Category Report" is one of the key inventory reports in the Hyper Aurest system. It is used to analyze the performance of different material categories or groups within the business over a specific time period. This report provides a comprehensive view of the relationship between the quantities of goods supplied and sold in each category, helping you monitor the balance between inventory and sales and accurately identify discrepancies.



What is the Category Report?

This report displays the total quantities or values associated with each material category in the system. It compares Goods Supplied (the quantity received into inventory) and Sales (the quantity actually sold or consumed), while calculating the Difference between the two values.

 ✳ The report helps you identify categories that are balanced in performance, as well as those with significant variances that may require further review or investigation.


Available Filters in the Report

To get accurate and relevant results, the system provides a wide range of filters, including:

  • Date Range: Select the start and end dates for the reporting period

  • Branch: Choose a specific branch to analyze

  • User: Filter results by the staff member who executed the transactions

  • Material Category: Select a specific group (e.g., appetizers, beverages, main dishes, etc.)

  • Order Type: Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery, Hospitality, Incoming, Drive-thru, Applications

  • Payment Method: Cash, Credit, Card, Shared

  • Bill Status: Preparing, Closed, Returned

  After setting the filters, click the "Show" button to display the results.


Report Contents

The report summarizes each selected category and includes:

  • Goods Supplied: The quantity of items received or added to inventory under each category

  • Sales: The quantity sold or consumed

  • Difference: The variance between goods supplied and sold, which may indicate waste, loss, or inaccuracies in inventory or production

The report ends with total values for all categories, giving you a clear overview of overall category performance.

  You can export the report as an Excel or PDF file or print it directly for reviews or internal reporting.
