⬜ Kitchen Screen Settings APP

The Kitchen Screen APP in the Aurest system offers a flexible set of settings that help customize the user experience according to the workflow inside the kitchen or preparation section. Through these settings, you can connect the screen to the system, adjust the display layout, set update intervals, and control order details precisely to ensure optimal daily performance.



1. Connecting the Screen to the Aurest Database

To link the Kitchen Screen with the system:

1️⃣ Go to the bottom menu of the application.

2️⃣ Navigate to Settings > Connection.

3️⃣ Enter the following connection information:

  • Server IP Address

  • Database Name

  • SQL Username

  • SQL Password

  • Port Number: fixed value 1433

☑ The same database used by the Point of Sale and Captain Aurest application is used to ensure real-time system integration.


✅ 2. General Display Settings (Customization)

From the Display section, you can control how orders appear on the screen:

  • Number of columns for displaying orders

  • Number of grouping columns

  • Update interval (in seconds)

  • Auto-restart interval (in minutes)

⚙️ Optional settings:

  • Launch the program automatically after system startup

  • Enable automatic data refresh

  • Alert on new order arrival

  • Enable sound notification

  • Auto-close order after delivery

  • Voice alert when an order is delivered

  • Show item groups

  • Customize font size, button size, and item size (grouped view)

  • Set number of item columns


✅ 3. Screen Button Settings

From this section, you can choose which buttons appear on the main screen:

  • Show Refresh button

  • Show Deliver button

  • Show Close button


✅ 4. Order Detail Display Settings

You can toggle the visibility of various order details:

  • Show/Hide order time

  • Show/Hide order type

  • Show/Hide host name

  • Show/Hide table number

  • Show/Hide table location

  • Show/Hide item groups (departments)


✅ 5. Language Settings

The Kitchen Screen allows switching between multiple languages:

  • Arabic

  • English

  • Mixed (Arabic-English dual display)


6. Order Number Settings

  • Enable order number on each ticket

  • Enable daily sequential order number


7. Order Display Mode

Choose how to display order items:

  • Grouped View: Aggregates similar items across orders

  • Detailed View: Shows each order with full item details
